Hi Alex B,
Thanks for this informative article when I searched the sewing machines for my mom and it directs me to your post. My mom used to work in the sewing factory and did all the sewing for my family. All the machines listed look good to me but I wonder is it also good for someone who is already familiar with professional sewing?
If not, I hope you might have time to write another article for more professional sewing machines, it would definitely help me. Thank you so much!
Hi Matt,
A few years ago I used to own a sewing workshop with a few industrial machines, I got used to work with the Brother 755, it works fast and always good.
When I moved to live in Canada had to sell all my machines and when I got here the first thing I did was to buy a new sewing machine.
So I went from working with an industrial machine to a beginners sewing machine, I also had in my mind the same worries as you, would I get used to work with it after being working with a big industrial machine?
For my surprise, the Brother small sewing machine has been the best pick I did for this big change, I’ve been working with it for the last 7 or 8 years with no problem at all.
My best tip would be to talk to your mom, she always can start with a sewing machine with a few features and she might like it too!
Alejandra.
