Sewing Quotes

  1. It is interesting that we all grow up with many sayings from our parents and family. I particularly like the proverb, ‘My soul is fed with needle and thread.’ I know that when I am sewing it is like a meditation, I feel at peace and joyful at the same time. Even better is I end up with something to wear, a gift, or a practical item to use. The friends that I have made with quilting are the very fabric of my life, there is a special community feeling when you work together and support each other. I just love it. Thanks for these lovely quotes to add to my mind.

  2. I have enjoyed reading all these quotes just as mush as I enjoy sewing. It’s probably because the quotes are about sewing. Sewing or any other manual technique relaxes. And because it is a creative activity improves self-esteem. This is vital for a full and satisfying life. Therefore, we must introduce small changes in our daily routine, such as sewing, to increase and improve our life. In my book, sewing has become fashionable.

  3. Hi there,

Awesome proverbs. Thank you for sharing them!

My mother is a seamstress, so I have grown up with it:) I have always been interested in sewing, but my mother never had the time to teach me how to sew. I love those quotes, I will show them to my mother, and I am sure she will love them. I especially like the quote from Bennita Skinner. It doesn’t apply only to sewing but in life too.

Thank you for this excellent article!

  5. As someone who has experience in the embroidery field, I can say these quotes are quite nice to mentally consume. Embroidery was my first passion and will always be ad I agree that every day I will find myself working on different projects! Sometimes I get so excited about a project that I will put down  a project that I am already working on just to start another project that just came into my mind!
