  1. Hello, I really want to appreciate your effort in putting together this website and writing this article. From the onset I have always been familiar with singer sewing machine. Although I have tried others but I never knew that the Janome was this good and I did not realize it could also go for a price this low. Every one wants a machine that would be user friendly and this is the right choice. I love the design and the color

    • Thanks Benny for taking the time to write a comment.

Yes, this is a sewing machine that is user friendly, it will help any beginner to start sewing but it has enough features to help any sewer to do all their sewing projects.

  2. Hello, I really enjoyed your review on the best sewing machine for under $500. I’ve read a few reviews already about the Jacome HD3000 and they all say the same positive things so I’m getting confident that this is really a great machine.

The way you laid it out is perfect and informative, I love how you said that this machine is built to last and has a 25 year warranty. My old sewing machine constantly seized up and won’t sew intermittently so I’m definitely in the market for a new one. I’m going to look more into this one. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

  3. Hi Alex, thank you for sharing the best sewing machine for under $500. As a newbie in this field looking to get an affordable sewing machine, one could make terrible mistakes like getting one that would cause struggle and problem when being used. So I know this guide is very helpful and important.

Jacome HD3000 is indeed the best considering its durability and the many great features that come with it. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I love this sewing machine and I’ve been sewing since I was a teenager (on an ancient Singer that could double as a doorstop).  Frankly, I have used the machines with a gazzilion different styles of stitches and the computer screens and I found that that just made for more things to go wrong.  I LOVE that this one can sew both heavy and light fabrics.  The automatic threader would save SO much time – not to mention the one-step buttonholer.  Frankly, I would buy this before any of its fancier cousins!

    • Hi Feochadan

Many sewers love to work on mechanical sewing machine because some times working on a computerized sewing machine can give you some hard times at the time to select the stitch you want to work with, and the Jacome HD3000 comes with the features any sewer would love to work on many different projects.

  5. Hello Alex!

I have myself at home a sewing machine that is several decades old (my grandmother used it, and I remember the machine since I was four, that’s 25 years ago but I think it’s even older). And I am pretty sure it would cost the equivalent of under $500 if I sold it. However, it doesn’t look as beautiful as your Jacome machine is!

I like how the Jacome HD3000 looks, and it would be a good investment for people who have a passion for home-made clothes, especially if they consistently earn from their creations! Well, the lack of an extension table may seem an obstacle at the beginning, but there are workarounds for that. Passion overcomes obstacles.

    Kind regards, Peter

    • Hi Peter,

You might be surprised about the good price some old sewing machine can get, my mother still has the Singer Featherweight she bought when she was young and one day I google it and this model can get some good price!

You’re so right when you say passion overcomes obstacles and there’re some good sewing table where you can place your sewing machine and it will help any sewer to work with no problems at all with any model.

  6. Hello, your article would convince me to buy this model if I would not already have one. I have a much simpler version but for a hobby seamstress this is doing fine. You have very well explained all the features of this model and also pointed out some small disadvantages which should be considered when buying it. Just one remark: On your headline it should read “Does this sewing machine HAVE everything …..”.

  10. Very nice sewing machine.  I love sewing!  I used to saw a lot and I have purchased 5 sewing machines in the past because I used to make catering linens for a friend years ago.  I have sergers and 3 regular sewing machines.  Never knew anything about Janome HD3000.  If I am into buying sewing machine, I will buy one of these machines right away.  It seemed a very good sewing machine for the price.  Definitely  I will keep this machine in mind when I need to buy a new one.  Right now my sewing machine still works and I have been sewing only when I need to repair something.  Definitely I like this sewing machine.  Thank you for the review and it is nice to know this brand.

    Evelyn

    • I thank you Evelyn, it’s always great to hear what other sewing enthusiasts do, it sounds interesting to do catering linens, I guess there is a good demand to do the sewing for catering business.
