When looking for an easy sewing project to make a cosmetic bag, you can go wrong with this easy sewing project, as it’s made with straight stitching and easy steps to follow!
Materials:
- 1 x cotton 100 % fabric of 8 x 12″
- 1 x cotton 100 % fabric of 8 x 12″
- 1 x zip of 8 “
- 1 x ribbon of 8 ” long
- Sewing Machine
- Sewing tools
Step by step Tutorial to make a cosmetic bag.
1. Cut the two pieces of fabric of 8 x 12″, lay one piece over the other, good side to good side and pinch a few pins.
2. Run your sewing machine to sew on bottom and top side. Turn out the piece and press.
3. Lay the piece over the zipper and pinch a few pins, sew on.
4. Fold the piece to lay the other top side on the zipper and pinch a few pins, sew on.
5. Sew on the ribbon piece on the bottom side of the zipper.
6. Turn the piece to the wrong side of the bag outside and sew on both sides, first run the sewing machine with the normal stitch and run the sewing machine on both side for the second time but with zigzag stitch feature. Trim all the lose threads.
7. Turn out and the cosmetic bag is ready!
